Jogging and swimming are both useful to be a very effective way to not only change an unhealthy body into a healthy one but to change an individual's whole outlook on life in general, but they differ in equipments, time of exercise and place. Actually, there are so many equipments which are used in jogging, such as the proper shoes, clothing to fit the jogging surface as well as the weather and the running shoes. But, in swimming we need a swimsuit, a pair of goggles, and a swim cap. Beside that, jogging and swimming are different in time of exercise. We can do jogging early in the morning, it’s highly important that we spend at-least 15 minutes warming up our muscles and doing some basic stretches because it is that our body’s metabolism gets hiked up for the day, ensuring that we burn calories more efficiently from our meals. And the best time to jog would be towards between 5-7 p.m. During this time our body temperature is at its highest, our muscles are warm, our body has higher energy levels (from our breakfast and lunch) and our lungs are functioning at a higher efficiency. But for swimming, we can do it just 30-60 minutes of physical activity 3-4 days per week, because it can help reduce our risk for heart disease, stroke, and diabetes. A regular physical activity program can also help lower our blood pressure and cholesterol. Finally, the place for jogging and swimming are actually different. We do jogging at the park, and football field. But, for swimming, of course we do it at the swimming pool. In conclusion, jogging and swimming are similar but differ in equipment, time of exercise and place. From the conclusion above, I prefer to choose swimming because swimming is probably one of the most healthy, fun, challenging and low impact forms of exercise we can do.
